After preparation, the (3D) surface is ready for its layer of VeroMetal, mixed with the special binder and a reactor. This mix makes for a liquid coating that is over 85% actual metal. The liquid metal, with a thickness of about 120 mu., is now sprayed on the surface it will cover.
After conditioned hardening of the VeroMetal has taken place, its reactive layer is then removed by polishing, which makes the metal come through.
We leave the rest up to nature. To get the realistic, weathered look, all you need to do is give it time. Amongst other factors, the salts in the air patinate the metal. We can enhance and expedite this process in our factory by adding a patina to the VeroMetal. The metal coating is treated like any ‘normal’ metal, which means you can scrub, polish and sand it. Upon request, we add a final invisible wax layer or varnish to stop the aging process of the metal.
We communicate with you every step of the way. After all, in the end it is your idea that brings the Art and Metal to life.
You now have the metalized product that is exactly how you pictured it in your mind.
